Clifford H. StraubVice President and Chief Financial Officer
Clifford Straub, a financial executive with more than two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, has been responsible for the financial and accounting areas since 2005. Cliff’s background includes strategic and operational planning and execution, and various finance activities.
Prior to joining Cornerstone, Cliff served as a Director in the corporate finance area of FTI Consulting, Inc., a premier provider of corporate finance/restructuring, litigation support, forensic accounting and economic consulting. In this capacity, his responsibilities included providing financial and operational advice to companies and secured lenders, and serving as the interim CFO for a publicly held international company engaged in the manufacture and sale of scanning products.
Cliff has also held key financial positions in several public companies including Pharmaceutical Formulations, Inc., an over-the-counter generic drug manufacturer and marketer, and West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (formerly Paco Pharmaceutical Services, Inc.), a contract packaging and manufacturing services company primarily serving the pharmaceutical and personnel healthcare products market. As the CFO for Paco, he successfully completed Paco’s initial public offering and subsequently negotiated the sale of Paco to The West Company. He started his career at Ernst & Young, where for more than 13 years he was an independent auditor for numerous public and private companies.
Cliff received a B.A. in Accounting and Economics from Upsala College, New Jersey, where he was a part-time lecturer. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New Jersey, and a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Financial Executives International.
